The Trans BC Enduro is a six-day epic adventure of Interior B.C that concluded yesterday on the shores of Kootenay River near Nelson. After 29 stages through some stunning Canadian backcountry three Kiwis stood atop of the podium in the three scoring categories.
Jamie Nicoll who was backing up after racing the Trans Provence the week before managed to muster the strength and skill to take the overall Men’s Open title.
Meg Bichard (who suffered a double wrist fracture end the end of last year) took the honours in the women’s category by a whopping 19 mins over her nearest rival and Mark Patterson finished strong on the last day to grab the win in the Men’s Masters (over 40’s) category.
Congrats to the guys and great to see such a big turn out of Kiwis at this event especially in the Over 40’s men which had seven Kiwis out of a field of 27.
