So we have known about this bad boy for a while now but it looks like Fox and Manitou chose Sea Otter to drop the 140mm travel 29er bomb (leaving Rock Shox Interbike to release their new 140mm all-mountain 29er). Anyhow the big news with Fox’s fork is it rocks an oversize arch (to stiffen things up a bit) but most importantly it features Fox’s new 34mm stanchions for even more lateral rigidity. I have a pair on back order already so as soon as they arrive in the country we will be able to give you the low down. Check the full Bikerumor post over here for all the other 2012 Fox goodness.

Press Release | RockShox Product Announcement MY23
Sram/RockShox – May 27th, 2022
Our new suspension started from a blank sheet of paper. We set everything aside and started with one question: how can we continue to elevate every ride? The result is a revolutionary system designed
to deliver unprecedented control, muscle, and performance. New chassis designed with industry-first damper technology, reinvented air springs, a host of new technologies to mute trail chatter and win the fight against friction. Suspension that has the confidence to meet the demands of riders today and empower them to take the sport somewhere new tomorrow.
34mm, WTF? Whats wrong with 36mm? 29ers always just have to be different….. Still, should be an improvement over the current range of noodle forks.

Hopefully they will use the 34mm chassis on the 831 dirt jump forks in future…
