If you have been visiting the site recently you may have noticed that a while back I got pretty excited by the 2011 GT Sensor 29er. Then things went quiet, but this weekend I again jumped on board a 29er, the Turner Sultan. Well when the folks at Niner heard that I was lusting after some big wheels they came to the party with this thing. It’s the last XL Niner WFO around, and rocks 140mm of rear travel, ISCG tabs and once mounted up with some 140mm travel Marzocchi 44 Ti forks it will absolutely rule. It’s the first bike I’ve had to build from scratch for a while and parts are slowly coming in so I’ll keep you updated with the build progress as it takes shape. Hopefully it’s going to be sporting some pretty trick parts which may just be stories in themselves.

  1. @LR – He had to work hard to look that broken.
That said, I couldn’t make it round 2 laps without bits falling off my bike. Bits like chainrings.
