I was pretty excited when the courier showed up on Friday; hopefully he was delivering a 2011 Pivot Mach 5.7 for review in issue 40 of Spoke (due out late Feb). When the large box slid out of the van I was downstairs in a flash to assemble this DW-link all-mountain gem. As I slowly peeled off the bubble wrap (there was a tonne) this SRAM XO and FSA SLK equipped bike began taking shape and I started getting pretty jealous. You see I won’t be reviewing this bike as it’s only a medium, and I ride XLs so this thing is pretty much off limits. But it’s one sexy build and after one ride we can tell you that this thing is a nimble climber and lives up to the current DW-link pedigree. Over the next eight weeks we’ll be putting this beast through its paces for an in-depth review in the Feb/March issue of Spoke and a video review.
