This is the second feature in Tim Pierce’s series “Revealing Lake Wanaka” and as you may have guessed from the post’s title it’s on ex-pat Camilla Stoddart. A bit of adventure and grit never did anyone any harm and for Wanaka photographer Camilla Stoddart it has essentially moulded her into the talented photographer she is today. Leaving her home land of Scotland, London and her St Martins Arts Honours Degree behind, Camilla made her pilgrimage deep into the South Island of New Zealand to Wanaka where she has carved out an undeniable reputation as one of the country’s best outdoor adventure sports and travel photographers. “I live in Wanaka because of the outdoor factor and everyone else is here for the same reasons as well. So you have lots of creative people thinking outside the square who love using the landscape we live in.”
