Subaru Gary Fisher team mates, Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski and wife Heather Irmiger each dominated their respective event. The Firecracker 50 is held in Breckenridge each year, and this year’s course featured a start line elevation of 9,000 with climbs up to 11,000. The fifty mile race is recognised as the US National Marathon Championships.
JHK and Irmiger smashed the competition as each of them set new course records.
Jeremys win marks SRAMs first National Championship victory with the all new XX component group. JHK raced his Gary Fisher Superfly 100 equipped with XX components, and RockShox Reba suspension fork and Monarch rear shock.
