Unit are at it again, adding another huge name to their expanding MTB team roster, this time with Canadian big-mountain freerider James Doerfling. Doerfling, 24, has spent the past five seasons exploring the remote corners of the world hunting out mind-blowing lines and first descents for a swathe of film and editorial projects, as well as competing at the amazing Red Bull Rampage in Utah, USA.“I’m so pumped to have partnered up with Unit,” says the British Columbian based shredder. “Their designs are sick and I love their attitude towards pushing the limits. In that way we’re perfect for each other!”

Unit founder and marketing director Paul Everest is excited at the prospect of adding Doerfling to the team. “We are rapidly building our name as a force to be reckoned with both in Canada and in mountain-biking,” he says. “Securing a well respected, big-named rider such as James, who is based in Canada, is going to make the industry sit up and take notice.”

“With a MTB team that now includes Spanish freerider Andreu Lacondeguy, Kiwi hucker Kelly McGarry, Australian DH champion Chris Kovarik and now big-mountain freerider James Doerfling, our team would have to rank as one of the most talent-packed squads in the MTB scene.”

James is currently working on a high-budget HD mountainbike film with Freeride Entertainment called Where The Trail Ends, to be released later this year.
